Characteristics:

RAAJMELT-3 is an agglomerated basic flux with very high current carrying capacity in both AC and DC. Provides excellent sub-zero impact properties and extreme resistance to cracking. Manganese behavior is neutral while slight silicon pickup occurs; therefore, use of high Mn wires (like EH14) is recommended.

Typical Applications:

  • Single and multi-pass welding
  • Structural fabrication, pressure vessels, boilers, and other medium tensile, carbon, and low alloy steel fabrications

Drying Requirement:

Redrying recommended at 250-300°C for one hour before use.
