Hydrogen Controlled Iron Powder Electrode for Welding Creep-Resistant with High Alloyed, 9Cr-1Mo Steels

Classification:

  • AWS/SFA-5.5: E 9016 B9

Characteristics:

A basic coated, hydrogen controlled, iron powder type electrode, producing 9% Cr / 1.0% Mo deposit. The weld deposit is of radiographic quality, highly resistant to corrosion and oxidation, and exhibits creep resistance at elevated temperatures up to 600°C. The electrode ensures an excellent weld finish.

Applications:

Ideally suitable for oil refinery and petrochemical industries.
Extensively used in chemical industries.
Powerhouse applications where steels of similar compositions are used.
Suitable for welding 7–10% Cr, 1% Mo steels and castings of similar compositions.

Re-Dry Condition:

Re-dry the electrode at 350°C for 1 hour before use.
