Home Products Hardfacing Electrodes RATNA HF 1 (DIN 8555)

Medium Heavy Coated, Air Hardening, Rutile Type Electrode

Classification:

  • DIN 8555: E1 UM-250

Characteristics:

A medium heavy coated, air hardening, rutile type electrode for hardfacing on mild steel and low alloy steels. Weld deposits are normally machinable and provide moderate toughness and hardness. Recommended to use RATNA 7016 as a buffer layer when working on hard base materials.

Applications:

  • Hammers, pinion teeth.
  • Railway and tram rails.
  • Gear shaft couplings, axles, cane crushers, machine parts.
  • Rollers, sugarcane crushers, pulleys, sprockets, and similar components.
  • Where toughness and hardness are desired with machinable properties.

Re-Dry Condition:

Re-dry the electrode at 120°C for 30–60 minutes for best results.
