RATNA HT 65D1 (AWS A5.5 E9018D1)

Hydrogen Controlled Iron Powder Electrode for High Tensile Structural Steels

Classification:

  • AWS/SFA-5.5: E 9018D1
  • IS-1395: E 63 BD126

Characteristics:

A hydrogen controlled, iron powder electrode for welding high tensile structural steels with good toughness down to -50ºC. It gives smooth arc, low spatter, easy slag detachability, medium penetration, and welded joints are of radiographic quality.

Applications:

Suitable for welding HSLA steels.
Suitable for welding of “CONCOR” wagon type applications of the Indian Railways.
Suitable for welding penstocks, tanks, pressure vessels, and bridges.
Suitable for welding high strength low alloy steels and grain refined steels.
Quenched and tempered steels.

Re-Dry Condition:

Re-Dry the electrode at 250°C for 1 hour before use.

Diffusible Hydrogen:

5 ml per 100 grams of weld metal.
