Characteristics:

ER430 is a 17% Cr stainless steel welding wire designed for MIG, TIG, and SA welding of AISI 430 type steels. The wire produces weld beads that are shiny, finely rippled, and uniform when used with Argon + O₂ or CO₂ gas mixtures as shielding gas. It provides stable arc performance and good weld appearance.

Applications:

Welding of equivalent 13% Cr and 17% Cr base materials
Surfacing of machine parts requiring corrosion resistance
Suitable for components where adequate corrosion resistance and ductility are needed after heat treatment

Shielding Gas:

Welding with 100% Ar gas or Ar + 2% O₂ gas.
