Medium Heavy Coated, Air Hardening, Rutile Type Electrode

Classification:

  • DIN 8555: E1-UM-400

Characteristics:

A medium heavy coated, air hardening, rutile type electrode designed for overlaying hard surfaces on mild steel and low alloy carbon steel. The weld deposit is of non-machinable type and provides excellent resistance to abrasion along with toughness. It is recommended to use RATNA 7016 as a buffer layer when working on hard base materials.

Applications:

  • Couplings.
  • Brake shoes, cams, gears, cogwheels, crawler parts, shafts, plough shears.
