RATNA 320 (AWS A5.4: E 320-16)

A fully austenitic stainless steel electrode to reduce fissuring encountered in welds

Classification:

AWS/SFA-5.4: E 320-16

Characteristics:

This fully austenitic stainless steel electrode deposits weld metal with 20Cr, 34Ni, 2.50Mo, 3.50Cu and Nb added to improve resistance to intergranular corrosion. The alloying is primarily used for welding base metals of similar composition in applications requiring resistance to severe corrosion.

Application:

  • Suitable for a wide range of chemicals including sulfuric and sulfurous acids and their salts.
  • Can be used for welding both castings and wrought alloys.
  • Materials include ASTM A351, A744 Grade CN-7M, BS 1504-332 C11, Carpenter 20, 20Cb, 20Cb-3, and similar alloys.

Re-Dry Condition:

Re-Dry the electrode at 350°C for 1 hrs before use.
