Characteristics:
ER420 is a ferritic steel welding wire primarily used for TIG welding in surfacing
operations requiring corrosion resistance. It contains approximately 12% Cr,
providing good corrosion resistance and weldability for ferritic stainless steels.
Applications:
- Suitable for TIG welding of 12–14% chromium base materials
- Used in surfacing and joining operations where corrosion resistance is needed
Shielding Gas:
Welding with 100% Ar gas or Ar + CO2 (80/20) gas.
